Z.Robo-2 is Zarnitza's basic metal robotics kit for studying electronics, microprocessors and robotic systems. It builds a mobile platform on four Mecanum wheels driven by geared DC motors and a parallel-link manipulator with four degrees of freedom, using four smart servos with absolute digital encoders and feedback, an electromechanical gripper, an ultrasonic rangefinder, an infrared sensor with remote, a machine-vision module and a robotics controller. It runs on an 8 V, 8,000 mAh battery or a 12 V mains adapter and comes with Grade 6 and 7 workbooks and teacher guides.
