The Mission Specialist Pro 5 is the small, fast member of the line and the successor to VideoRay's original Pro-series ROVs: a modular three-thruster, three-degree-of-freedom vehicle for missions constrained by size, space, weight or how quickly a team can get in the water. It is the lightest of the range at 26 lbs and 51 by 33 by 26 cm, rated to 300 m, with 20.3 kg of forward thrust, a 50 lb bollard pull and the highest top speed in the line at 4.4 knots. Tether runs to 450 m on topside power with the performance tether. Lighting is two 7,600-lumen units, and it carries the same 4.7k smart camera with an AI and machine-learning processor as its larger siblings, plus a rear-facing camera, with Blueprint Seatrac USBL positioning and Tritech Micron scanning sonar available. VideoRay positions it for infrastructure inspection beyond the reach of divers, and it builds on the Pro 4 with more thrust, longer tether, higher-resolution video and the modular Mission Specialist architecture. Runs the Greensea IQ operating system, integrates a 2-function (open/close/rotate) manipulator as standard, and retrieves over 100 lbs.
