BESCHREIBUNG
The Z-Boat 1250 is Teledyne Oceanscience's smallest hydrographic survey boat: a remotely controlled, single-beam echosounder platform that one person can carry and deploy to map streams, rivers, lakes and coastal waters from the shore. It suits mining pits and tailings ponds, sewage treatment plants, sensitive environments, construction and inspection zones, dams and reservoirs, harbours and rivers. Lightweight ABS hulls and a collapsible sliding crossbar let the outriggers slide in for transport; the 127 cm boat weighs 18 kg bare and about 22 kg with typical instruments. It is IP67-rated, and two brushless thrusters - one in each outrigger - are differentially driven by a 2.4 GHz remote control, so there is no rudder or steering linkage. It reaches 2.3 m/s, profiles at speeds as low as 0.3 m/s and runs about 4 hours at 1 m/s on three 24 V NiMH packs, with a 750 m control range and 4.5 kg typical payload. The integrated 200 kHz echosounder reads depths from 0.4 to 200 m at 0.01 m resolution, with water temperature, outputting NMEA 0183, and a power management module links GPS and echosounder or an ADCP to a shore laptop by Bluetooth for real-time data.
