BESCHREIBUNG
Trexo Plus is the clinical version of Trexo's robotic gait trainer, built for physical therapists working with children in clinics and hospitals. Trexo calls it a physical therapist's newest companion: it provides a highly repetitive, consistent gait pattern at a chosen speed without tiring, so the therapist is freed from the manual labour of moving a child's legs and can concentrate on the child. Setting a gait is done by demonstration: the therapist moves the child's legs within their range of motion and the Trexo remembers the pattern. Step speed, weight bearing and level of support can all be adjusted, including while the child is walking, and there are two modes, endurance and strength. It is tablet operated with individual profiles for each child, storing session data - steps taken and initiation - so progress can be tracked over time and used to guide treatment. Trexo Plus converts a Rifton Dynamic Pacer walker into a robotic gait training device, and because it is battery powered and mobile it walks over the ground indoors and out rather than confining sessions to one room - hospitals have used it for walks alongside family. Trexo describes it as usable by children with cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, neuromuscular conditions and other conditions that impair lower-body mobility.
