BESCHREIBUNG
Trexo Home is a powered robotic brace that gets a child with a disability upright and walking at home, whenever they want to, rather than only at scheduled therapy appointments. Trexo builds each one after a family reserves it, sizing and accessorising it to where that child is in their development. The device moves the child's legs through a gait that is set up for them and changed as they grow: the speed of steps, the amount of weight the child bears and the level of support it provides are all adjustable, and there are two modes, endurance and strength. A customer support representative guides the family through growth spurts and keeps the device challenging so the child continues to get stronger. It is tablet operated, and the tablet stores session data so families can follow the number of steps taken and initiation - whether the child is actively participating rather than being moved. It is battery powered for use indoors and outdoors, and a treadmill accessory lets it be used in a small space. Trexo reports use by children with cerebral palsy and a wide range of other conditions, and screens every child with an assessment before fitting.
