BESCHREIBUNG
The Z-Boat 1800-T - guided by Trimble, powered by Teledyne - is a high-resolution shallow-water hydrographic uncrewed survey vehicle designed and built by Teledyne Oceanscience. It pairs a Teledyne Odom Echotrac E20 single-beam echosounder with a dual-antenna Trimble BX992 GNSS heading receiver in a compact, portable, cost-effective package, and both sensors can be removed and mounted on other vessels. Trimble supplies precise, RTK-capable heading and positioning and guidance, and the dual-channel E20 surveys from very shallow to deep water across 10 to 250 kHz, reading 0.5 to 250 m at 200 kHz. The result is real-time 2D survey for inspecting and identifying obstructions, replacing dangerous diver inspection and expensive survey-boat time, with optional Trimble Marine Construction software for remote viewing. The 1.8 m boat weighs 27 kg and carries 9 kg, driven by dual brushless 24 V outdrives at a typical 3 to 3.5 knots and up to 4.5 knots, for up to 4 hours at survey speed on NiMH batteries. It is controlled by a 2.4 GHz remote with 1,200 m range and sends data over 5 GHz (up to 1,200 m) or 4G LTE. It is two-person portable.
