TR5 is a six-axis articulated industrial robot arm made by Twara Robotics in Bengaluru. It is the smaller of the company's two arms and uses the same in-house joint actuators and harmonic gearboxes as the TR12. The maker's datasheet gives a 5 kg payload at the wrist, 755 mm reach, 0.1 mm repeatability and a mechanical weight of 25 kg. The wrist joints turn at up to 111 degrees per second. Programming combines offline and online methods with end-point trajectory control and self-collision avoidance, and the arm is jogged and scheduled from an industrial handwheel HMI. Twara markets the TR5 for precision handling, assembly and welding, and shows it fitted with a MIG welding torch. It accepts different end-of-arm tools, including the company's TGRIP soft grippers.
