Thor is the largest arm Standard Bots makes and the one it uses to blur the line between industrial and collaborative robots: 30 kg of payload and a 2 m reach, which the company claims is the farthest of any collaborative robot on the market, starting at $49,500. The proportions are the point. That 30 kg payload sits on a 296 mm footprint, so it drops into existing production lines and work cells rather than requiring new ones, and the 2 m reach brings larger parts, tools and machines into scope. It weighs 79 kg, is designed to IP65, moves at up to 4 m/s and repeats to within 0.025 mm, with Ethernet at the wrist and native EtherNet/IP and fieldbus support for plug-and-play integration. Underneath are the company's own actuators, built to fuse several torque-sensing modalities with high-rate motor control - which it credits for smooth motion, sub-millimetre path accuracy, faster collision reaction and longer gear life - in modular joints it describes as industrial Lego. On top sits Flux, its video-to-action AI model trained on common manufacturing tasks, which can be fine-tuned by hands-on teleoperated demonstration, plus autonomous collision-free path planning and a configurable camera suite.
