The MAD-3000S is the compact fork shuttle in Mad Automation's range of laser-guided vehicles (LGVs), built to move pallets of any type between production, end-of-line machines and the warehouse without operators. Its oil-hydraulic forks lift up to 3,000 mm at 0.2 m/s and carry up to 1,200 kg, transporting one pallet or two stacked. Like the rest of the range it navigates by laser with no floor infrastructure, so routes can be changed at any time in Mad's PC route-design software, and it travels at up to 1.5 m/s with positioning precision of up to 5 mm. The vehicles are built from off-the-shelf components so customers can service them, run 24 hours a day on lithium, sealed or traditional lead-acid batteries with automatic battery swapping or opportunity charging, and are supervised by Mad's in-house WMS and Brain 4.0 software alongside its palletisers and conveyors.
