LIMO is a compact multi-modal mobile robot from AgileX Robotics of Shenzhen, China, used widely as a teaching and research platform. Its four-wheel differential steering handles both smooth concrete and loose surfaces such as sand, and the chassis can be reconfigured across several locomotion modes for comparing navigation approaches on one vehicle. An Intel NUC i7 running ROS 2 Humble on Ubuntu 22.04 gives direct access to the open-source vision, navigation and motion stacks, while an EAI T-mini Pro LiDAR and an Orbbec Dabai depth camera supply the mapping and localisation sensing that SLAM coursework needs.
