The KRONOS MR-301 is Wado Sangyo's standard 'Robomower', an autonomous mower built for orchards and uneven farm ground. A boundary wire laid around the area defines where it works; inside it the robot drives a random pattern cutting grass, returns to its charging station when the battery runs low and restarts automatically once charged, covering up to 3,000 m2 regardless of weather or time of day. Three-wheel drive with a dedicated tyre pattern gives it grip on bumps and slopes - up to 20 degrees as standard and 30 degrees with optional rear wheel weights. Ultrasonic sensors detect fruit trees and equipment so it can steer around them, and a front-cover sensor detects contact and changes course. The 300 mm blade alternates its rotation direction to stay sharp, cuts at 30-70 mm (stepless), and travel speed adjusts automatically in dense grass; clippings are mulched finely so no collection is needed, and the battery drive is quiet. It measures 845 x 515 x 360 mm, weighs 17 kg, runs about 1 hour per charge with a 1-hour charge, and is started from a smartphone app. Options include a solar panel kit and a remote notification unit that e-mails errors and shows status and travel tracks on the web.
