Gemini UP Single Box is BouMatic's one-stall automatic milking system, a self-contained two-in-one unit that puts the milking box and the machine room in one compact frame so it can be installed quickly in new or existing barns. Its integrated in-box selection can sort cows as they leave, so the barn needs no extra fencing or gates around the robot. The robot arm attaches the cups from behind, between the cow's rear legs, the way a milker works in a side-by-side parlour, which keeps the arm out of the cow's sight. A dual-attachment head fetches two cups at once, a stainless-steel time-of-flight 3D camera locates the teats and machine-learning vision software speeds attachment on difficult udders. Udder preparation takes 60 to 90 seconds, milk from each quarter is screened, and herd data reaches the farmer's phone, tablet or PC through the OneView software. The box is 5.6 m long, 1.6 m wide and 2.4 m high and weighs 1,900 kg.
