The Sentante robotic system is a platform for remote endovascular interventions: the physician sits at a workstation outside the X-ray room and drives guidewires and catheters through a bedside robot, feeling real tactile resistance through the controls. Sentante describes it as the first endovascular robot to complete an entire procedure in a clinical trial, and it received its CE mark in May 2026. It has three parts. The workstation gives intuitive guidewire and catheter controls, live imaging and integrated software in an ergonomic, radiation-free workspace - no lead aprons. The robotic bedside unit, on its own cart, mirrors the physician's hand movements one to one, advancing, rotating and retracting the devices. And Sentacles, single-use sterile cassettes, provide the sterile interface to standard off-the-shelf devices, so no proprietary instruments are needed. It controls up to three devices at once - guidewires from .014 to .035 inch and catheters from 2 Fr to 8 Fr - which Sentante calls three pairs of hands. Control is built for precision and safety. Force and torque are sensed at the catheter drive and fed back to the physician's hands; motion scaling filters out tremor; a device LOCK mode holds instruments steady; and every movement is logged as kinematic and resistance data, creating a digital record of each procedure that also underpins the company's AI roadmap. The latest generation runs NVIDIA Jetson AGX. Clinical use covers aortoiliac occlusions, renovascular disease, cerebrovascular conditions, iliac aneurysms, dissections, and femoro-popliteal and below-the-knee interventions, with peripheral vascular, neurovascular, cardiovascular and electrophysiology applications in view. Operating from another building or city is under development and pending regulatory validation.
