AlphaBot 2 is AI² Robotics' general-purpose wheeled dual-arm humanoid, and the company positions it as the physical body for its own Alpha Brain foundation model — specifically GOVLA, which it calls the world's first Global and Omni-body vision-language-action model. The engineering choice that defines it is the lower body: rather than walking legs it uses a three-joint folding lifting structure over a two-wheel differential chassis, which trades terrain for a working envelope running from floor level to 2.3 m and the stability to hold a load at either end of it. It stands 1,800 mm and weighs 135 kg in standard configuration. There are 22 degrees of freedom excluding end effectors, seven of them in each arm, with a 723 mm single-arm span and 4 kg rated per arm. It travels between 0.1 and 1.5 m/s and manages slopes to 5 degrees. Perception is four Intel RealSense cameras — D435 units at head, chest and back for the wider scene, and a D405 at each wrist for close-range work — with a four-microphone linear array and an interactive display for interaction, and an NVIDIA Orin AGX 64 GB doing the computing. A 48 V 30 Ah pack gives four to six hours. The end effector is a choice rather than a fixture: dexterous hand, gripper or other tooling. AI² aims it at automotive and electronics manufacturing, semiconductor and panel production where cleanliness rules, biotechnology work needing sterile handling and no cross-contamination, and public venues such as airports.
