Mitsubishi Reveals New AI Humanoid Robot "N" Coming 2027

Tokyo-based robotics startup Highlanders (a University of Tokyo spinout) unveiled its new humanoid robot "N," powered by the Kepler v1.0 dual-brain AI model that combines slow deliberative planning with fast reflexive motor control. Mitsubishi Motors is partnering with Highlanders to mass-produce N at its Kyoto engine plant, targeting 1,000 units/month by 2027 to address Japan's labor shortage.
