DESCRIPTION
Stingray is an Industrial-Robot from Diakont. It is built for Cleaning, Inspection, In-service tank floor inspection.
Stingray is Diakont's explosion-proof robotic crawler for inspecting the floors of above-ground storage tanks while they stay filled and in service, so operators avoid emptying, cleaning and degassing tanks for confined-space entry. It is lowered through the manway, with the hatch opened only briefly to limit vapour release. Water jets and power scrubbers clear sludge and sediment ahead of the sensors; magnetic flux leakage finds anomalies, an array of ultrasonic sensors measures floor thickness and sizes defects, and 3D sonar scans the floor and tank internals for mapping and navigation, so a complete floor map is built in real time. Diakont's certified inspectors use the data for API 653 and EEMUA 159 compliant reports, letting operators plan turnarounds and extend inspection intervals.
