DESCRIPTION

RULO Pro is a Cleaning-Robots from Panasonic. It is built for Cleaning, Corridor and lift-hall vacuuming. Key figures: 26 kg, 150 min runtime, released 2018.

RULO Pro is Panasonic's commercial robot vacuum for building maintenance, launched in 2018 to automate the dust collection that takes up much of a cleaner's night in corridors and lift halls. It draws on the technology of Panasonic's household RULO robot vacuums and is used mainly in office buildings, as well as hotels and tower condominiums. It uses four kinds of sensors - laser, infrared, ultrasonic and bumper - with Panasonic's own SLAM localisation to run close along walls, and the laser and ultrasonic sensors stop it before it touches people or obstacles, with a voice and warning light to announce it. Dust goes into a large 5-litre paper bag, with a separate 1-litre box for heavier debris, so there is no filter to clean. A timer starts it unattended at night, and an LTE link e-mails start, finish and error-stop notices with a map of the area cleaned. The current model, MC-GRS2M (on sale from March 2022, built to order), measures 590 x 650 x 730 mm, weighs 26 kg with its 25.2 V lithium-ion battery, runs about 150 minutes per charge and recharges in about 6 hours; the battery swaps out like an e-bike pack. Its long-range laser sees about seven times further than the first model's (25 m against about 3.5 m each side) and it can create its own maps. Mitsui Fudosan Facilities ran twelve of the first model, MC-GRS1M, in two Tokyo office towers in 2018-2019.
