DESCRIPTION
RM500 is a Collaborative-Robot from Peer Robotics. It is built for Heavy-Load-Transportation, Intralogistics, Machine-Tending. Key figures: 86 kg, 480 min runtime, 500 kg payload.
RM500 is a low-profile autonomous mobile robot from Peer Robotics for heavy material handling on factory floors. It carries up to 500 kg (1,100 lb) placed directly on its top plate and serves as the base for trolley, bin, pallet and shelf movement and, with an arm fitted, machine tending. A smaller RM250 shares the RM Series platform. The robot is taught routes by demonstration: an operator guides it along the path, and it uses user-assisted mapping, landmark-based localization, obstacle avoidance and virtual no-go zones to repeat the job. Force feedback lets workers push or steer it by hand. Two 360-degree LiDARs with 30 m range and four 3D cameras watch the surroundings, and front and rear physical emergency stops are backed by stops on the dashboard and through the API. It needs no internet connection and runs fleets of up to 10 robots. The chassis measures 34 x 24 x 12 in (about 864 x 610 x 305 mm) and weighs 190 lb (about 86 kg). A 24 V 76 Ah lithium-ion battery gives up to 8 hours of work with payload and charges in up to 4 hours, with optional docking. The robot passes through 1 m aisles, turns on the spot, climbs 3 percent grades and complies with CE, ISO 3691-4 and EN 1175.
