SSI SCHAEFER RackBot storage and picking robot

DESCRIPTION

RackBot is a Mobile-Robots from SSI SCHAEFER. It is built for Intralogistics, Material-Handling, Transport. Key figures: 50 kg payload.

The SSI SCHAEFER RackBot is a storage and picking robot that combines an autonomous mobile robot with the capabilities of a storage-and-retrieval machine. A crane-style load-handling device on the mobile base stores and retrieves bins, trays, cartons and plastic boxes on racks, conveyors, work stations and picking stations, reaching storage heights up to 11.5 m and navigating autonomously even in narrow aisles. It carries several load units per trip: eight on-board storage trays plus one on the load-handling device, so up to nine cartons or bins depending on weight (six locations for bins over 50 kg). Versions handle bins and cartons up to 30 kg or 50 kg and sizes from 300 x 300 mm and 400 x 250 mm up to 850 x 650 mm, and one robot can adjust between sizes such as 600 x 400 and 400 x 300 mm. It supports triple-deep storage for high density and works at 0 to 45 C. RackBots communicate over Wi-Fi with a software platform that shows their status, warn by voice and drive to the charger when the battery is low, and are protected by obstacle detection, collision protection, emergency stop and lift and fall protection; the system is CE certified. Storage capacity and throughput can be scaled independently, and the fleet keeps working if one robot fails.
