DESCRIPTION
R-TOUCH is a Medical-Robots from BTL Industries. It is built for Medical-Assistance, Helping, Hand and upper-limb rehabilitation, mirror therapy, paediatric therapy. Key figures: 5 degrees of freedom.
R-TOUCH is BTL's soft robotic glove system for restoring hand and arm movement. The glove provides passive, assistive and active finger training while a dynamic arm support carries the arm and an optical motion sensor tracks it, so hand and arm are rehabilitated together. A string system with five finger actuators guides each finger precisely, and therapists can set the range of motion, starting position and speed for every exercise. The arm support relieves up to 5 kg of arm weight. Patients train in immersive virtual environments or with real objects, because the glove leaves the palm free for grasping, and a sensory glove on the healthy hand enables mirror therapy for bilateral activation. Multiple glove sizes fit children and adults, accessories allow use with spasticity, and all performance data is recorded in reports for tracking progress.
