DESCRIPTION

PWR delta robot is a Delta-Robot from PWR Pack. It is built for Packaging, Pick-and-place, High-speed case packing and tray loading of food products.

PWR's delta robots are high-speed parallel-arm pickers that the Dutch-British packaging-automation company designs and builds in-house for food lines, where they pick products off a conveyor and place them into cases, trays or crates. PWR sells them inside its own robotic lines and modular Smartline cells of one to four robots rather than as standalone arms. PWR describes the current robot as a lightweight design in carbon or stainless-steel construction, with multiple working ranges, few wearing parts and open engineering; its motion control was co-developed with Schneider Electric, which named PWR its first Master Robot Partner in 2020. Lines run on PWR Smart Control 4.0 and use PWR Clear Vision 4.0, which locates each product in 2D and measures its height in 3D, together with PWR's own vacuum and mechanical grippers. PWR's earlier delta model, the Unigrabber UG-D4 (2012 brochure), was a 3+1-axis robot rated at 1 kg payload and up to 150 picks a minute over a working area of up to 1,300 mm. At Natures Way Foods in Selsey, UK, two PWR delta robots case-pack coleslaw and salad pots of 180-600 g into cases and crates at up to 140 pots a minute, with changeovers in under 15 minutes.
