DESCRIPTION

Odin is a Mobile-Robots from Flux Auto. It is built for Intralogistics, Loading, Material-Handling.

Odin is an autonomy system from Flux Auto that turns a customer's existing forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, tuggers and tow trucks into driverless vehicles. Flux engineers fit the Flux ARK hardware kit, made up of three safety LiDARs, an IMU, equipment-feedback sensors, a ruggedised edge computer and a control interface, in about one to two days per vehicle without structural changes, and the vehicles stay manually drivable. The converted vehicle builds a 3D LiDAR map of the site on its first runs, without floor markers, tape or pre-mapping, and keeps it updated as the layout changes. All perception, planning and control run on the vehicle, so it keeps operating if the network drops. Odin detects pallets to within 2 cm, recognises workers and stops when someone enters its safety zone, works alongside manual forklifts and pedestrians, and operates in the dark because LiDAR needs no ambient light. A web and mobile fleet dashboard assigns missions and shows live positions, maps and safety alerts. Flux says a deployment takes about three to six weeks, from mapping and supervised runs to unsupervised 24/7 operation, and costs about 75 percent less than buying new autonomous forklifts. Typical jobs are dock-to-put-away pallet moves, work-in-progress and finished-goods transport and tugging in warehouses, factories and distribution centres. Load and speed depend on the host vehicle.
