DESCRIPTION
NEObot is a Mobile-Robots from Falcon Autotech. It is built for Intralogistics, Material-Handling, Inventory. Key figures: 40 kg payload, released 2023.
NEObot is the autonomous robot at the heart of NEO, Falcon Autotech's bin-based automated storage and retrieval (goods-to-person) system. NEObots drive along robot aisles at floor level and climb the storage towers of the NEOgrid racking, moving in X, Y and Z without separate lifts or conveyors, to fetch bins and deliver them to operator pick and put workstations. The system is decoupled: any robot can enter any aisle, reach any bin and serve any workstation, and capacity grows by adding robots, bins or racking. The NEOgrid can rise to 12 m (60 ft), and NEObins hold 5.43 cubic feet with 2, 3, 4, 6 or 8 compartments. Falcon's NEOiT warehouse control software plans routes and manages inventory and orders, and the robots run on swappable lithium batteries for 24/7 operation. Each NEObot carries up to 40 kg. Falcon launched NEO in 2023 after five years of development and is preparing NEO 2.0, in which the NEObot drops to 135 kg (50 kg lighter than version 1.5), uses 4 motors instead of 7, reaches 4 m/s in the X and Y axes and charges in 1 hour, with double-deep bin storage. NEO targets order fulfilment and piece picking in e-commerce, retail, fashion, grocery and spare-parts distribution.
