DESCRIPTION
Mechanical Chef is a Consumer-Robot from Mechanical Chef. It is built for Dispensing, Food-Handling, Cooking.
Mechanical Chef is a tabletop cooking robot for Indian homes and small kitchens from the Bengaluru start-up of the same name. The user loads ingredients into up to three holders, and the robot drops them into the pot at the right stage, controls an induction heater, adds water and stirs, so a dish needs only three loading steps. The unit is built on an induction cooktop with a vertical column carrying the ingredient holders and stirrer above the pot, a water container at the side, and a separate controller with a display. It can pressure cook, steam and open cook, and two units can run side by side on two heaters to cook two dishes at once. To stop dishes burning or charring it tops up water, adjusts the heat and stirs, and it can call the user if needed and resume. The company says it cooks about 700 dishes, including rice, dal, vegetables, rava, dalia, millets, meats, fish and biryani, with staple dishes ready in 7 to 15 minutes and biryani in 15 minutes. Its website offers free home trials and a 'Buy one' enquiry form but publishes no price.
