DESCRIPTION
Lionel is an Industrial-Robot from August Robotics. It is built for Construction. Key figures: 600 min runtime.
Lionel is August Robotics' autonomous floor-marking robot. Users upload a DWG or DXF floor plan, which is converted automatically into robot instructions; after a short set-up and calibration from a tablet - with no infrastructure or markers on site - Lionel drives the hall and sprays layout marks such as booth corners, booth numbers and labels, rigging points, electrical outlets and fit-out lines for racking, conveyors, server racks and MEP services. It marks up to 90 points an hour with +/-5 mm (about 1/8 in.) accuracy and AI-powered quality checks, works on concrete, carpet, tile and dusty floors, navigates around people and obstacles, and can follow a custom 'snake' path so other trades start work right behind it. Several robots can split one job as a fleet. A battery lasts about 10 hours and can be swapped for round-the-clock work. The cloud-based interface runs on any tablet or computer. Its non-permanent, water-washable paint comes in 13 colours and dries in about 10 minutes; the Lionel PX paint mechanism, launched in March 2025, paints marks as dot matrices for 80% faster drying, 50% more marks per bottle and 20% faster marking. August reports more than 300 million sq ft marked by Lionel fleets worldwide.
