DESCRIPTION
KYMERO is a Medical-Robots from Koh Young Technology. It is built for Medical-Assistance, Surgery, Stereotactic neurosurgery. Key figures: released 2016.
KYMERO is Koh Young Technology's navigated neurosurgical robot, approved and sold only in South Korea, and the foundation of its surgical robotics platform. It supports both robotic-assisted and navigation-guided neurosurgery - deep brain stimulation, stereo-EEG, biopsy and other procedures - and had been used in more than 800 procedures by December 2025. The robot fits under the surgical table, close to the patient but out of the surgical team's workspace, and its arc-like motion keeps a patient-safe workspace while minimising the distance to the target. Koh Young's 3D Vision optical tracking, with custom markers carrying thousands of reference points, works with the navigation camera to give real-time position and orientation feedback. KYMERO received South Korean approval in 2016; its upgraded successor is Geniant Cranial.
