DESCRIPTION

Kobold VR7 is a Cleaning-Robots from Vorwerk. It is built for Cleaning, Service, Autonomous vacuuming of hard floors and carpets, incl. pet hair, with automatic dust disposal. Key figures: 5 kg, 120 min runtime, price €999, released 2023.

The Kobold VR7 is Vorwerk's robot vacuum cleaner, launched in Germany on 2 May 2023 and sold with the RB7 service station. Its D-shaped body and extra-wide main and side brushes reach into corners, and a dual suction system with separate channels for coarse and fine dirt cleans both hard floors and carpets; AUTO mode adjusts fan and brush power to the floor type, while ECO and MAX trade runtime against power. Laser navigation builds floor plans quickly - up to five, one per storey - in which users set cleaning zones, multi-zones and no-go areas in the MyKobold app, which also handles weekly schedules. A time-of-flight camera lets it recognise and avoid objects even in the dark; it stops at stairs and climbs thresholds and rug edges of about 1.5 cm, and at 11 cm tall it fits under most furniture. An info button reads out its status by voice. The RB7 station recharges the VR7 in 3.5 hours and automatically sucks its dust bin empty into a 2.2-litre TUV-certified FP200 filter bag, so owners can go up to 60 days without touching dirt; it can also become a charging dock for the Kobold VK7 cordless vacuum. The VR7 runs up to 2 hours per charge in ECO mode, weighs about 5 kg and has a user-replaceable battery.
