DESCRIPTION
Homosep is a Cleaning-Robots from Solinas. It is built for Cleaning, Material-Handling, Monitoring.
Homosep is a robot from Solinas for cleaning sewer manholes and septic tanks without anyone climbing in. It began as co-founder Divanshu Kumar's final-year project at IIT Madras and was developed to end manual scavenging; Solinas calls it India's first septic-tank cleaning robot. The system is a wheeled trolley unit parked over the opening, with a boom that lowers a cleaning head into the pit. Patented homogeniser blades break hard sludge into slurry that can be pumped out, a gripper grabs solid waste, and a scissor-type stabiliser mechanism steadies the head and gives vertical reach of up to 20 m. The Homosep Sewer version combines desilting, grabbing and suction or jetting, with a 17-litre grabber and a 90-litre silt tank; optional 2,000-6,000 litre storage tanks carry sludge away. Four vandal-proof cameras and a toxic-gas sensor feed a display unit on the trolley, so the operator watches the work and gas levels live from the surface. Solinas sells the robot and also offers it as a cleaning service, and reports deployments in 16 Indian states, mainly with municipal bodies.
