DESCRIPTION
GripX is a Medical-Robots from Exobot. It is built for Material-Handling, Medical-Assistance, Rehabilitation. Key figures: 1440 min runtime.
GripX is a myoelectric prosthetic hand from Exobot for people with above-elbow or below-elbow amputation. Sensors inside the socket read the user's muscle activity and an onboard processor turns it into open and close commands within milliseconds. Clinicians can choose between standard EMG sensors, which detect the electrical activity of contracting muscles, and FMG sensors, which detect the pressure of the muscle bulge and suit weak or hard-to-isolate signals. The hand can run in dual-site mode, with one muscle to open and another to close, or single-site mode, where patterns from one muscle control both actions. It opens to about 100 mm, has an oval wrist that rotates 360 degrees with shock protection, and uses impact-resistant, water-resistant shell panels for dust, heat and knocks. Exobot gives its weight as under 300 g (under 250 g in other copy on the same page). A BIS-certified 2,500 mAh LiPo battery gives 24 hours of use per charge, with flexible battery packs. Each hand ships with a silicone glove. Exobot offers 48-hour service, affordable spare parts and local support in India.
