DESCRIPTION

Gottwald Lift AGV is an Industrial-Robot from Konecranes. It is built for Heavy-Lifting, Heavy-Load-Transportation, Loading. Key figures: 31000 kg, 70000 kg payload.

The Konecranes Gottwald Lift AGV is a further development of the company's automated guided vehicle for container terminals. Unlike a conventional AGV, it has two active lifting platforms that let it lift containers and set them down by itself on transfer racks in the interchange zone in front of the stacking cranes, so container transport and container storage are decoupled. It can handle two 20-foot containers independently of each other or one container of any size, cutting waiting time and raising the work rate per vehicle, which helps terminals optimise fleet size. Like the standard AGV it carries a 70-tonne payload, moves forwards, backwards and sideways, and is guided to within 25 mm by Konecranes' management and navigation software and transponders in the road surface. It runs on lead-acid batteries with fully automatic exchange in about five minutes, or on lithium-ion batteries with automated quick charging, and weighs 31 or 39 tonnes unladen depending on battery type.

FEATURES

  • Two active lifting platforms: picks up and sets down containers on transfer racks independently
  • Handles two 20 ft containers independently or one container of any size
  • Decouples container transport from stacking-crane operations
  • fewer waiting times
  • Unladen weight 31 or 39 t (Li-ion vs lead-acid variant)
  • Battery-electric (lead-acid or Li-ion) or diesel-electric drive
  • payload 70 t
  • Carries 20, 40 and 45 ft containers
  • travels forwards, backwards and sideways
  • Navigation by management/navigation software + transponders in the terminal road surface
  • +/-25 mm positioning
  • Fully automated battery exchange in about 5 minutes (lead-acid) or automated quick charging in the AGV (Li-ion)
  • Li-ion: lower deadweight, up to 3x more recharge cycles and about 4x faster charging than lead-acid
  • In-house fleet management and navigation software
  • integration with terminal management systems
