DESCRIPTION

Gottwald AGV is an Industrial-Robot from Konecranes. It is built for Heavy-Lifting, Heavy-Load-Transportation, Loading. Key figures: 26000 kg, 70000 kg payload.

The Konecranes Gottwald AGV is an unmanned, software-controlled container transporter that links the quay and the stackyard in large container terminals. Konecranes introduced the technology about 25 years ago and has sold more than 650 vehicles; many have run for over 20 years and up to 70,000 operating hours with well-known terminal operators. The AGV carries 20, 40 and 45-foot containers with a payload of 70 tonnes and can travel forwards, backwards and sideways. Konecranes' management and navigation software, together with transponders embedded in the terminal road surface, controls each vehicle in precisely timed sequences and positions it to within 25 mm, while recording every transport job. It is a passive vehicle that waits to be unloaded by the stacking crane in the transfer zone. It is built with a battery-electric or diesel-electric drive. Lead-acid versions swap batteries fully automatically in about five minutes at a battery-exchange station, and newer lithium-ion versions weigh less, last up to three times as many charge cycles and charge about four times faster, including with an automated quick charger in the vehicle. Unladen weight is 26 or 34 tonnes depending on battery type.

FEATURES

  • Battery-electric (lead-acid or Li-ion) or diesel-electric drive
  • payload 70 t
  • Carries 20, 40 and 45 ft containers
  • travels forwards, backwards and sideways
  • Navigation by management/navigation software + transponders in the terminal road surface
  • +/-25 mm positioning
