DESCRIPTION
GLYDE is a Cleaning-Robots from Taypro. It is built for Cleaning, Scheduling, Monitoring. Key figures: 38 kg.
GLYDE is Taypro's flagship autonomous, waterless cleaning robot for fixed-tilt and seasonal-tilt utility-scale solar plants. Each unit, listed as the TR-150, is assigned to one array and parks in a shadow-free dock with its own solar-charged lithium-ion battery, so it needs no external power. At a scheduled time, usually outside production hours, the robot leaves its dock and travels along the module frame, never loading the glass. Its patented dual-pass head first loosens dry dust with airflow, then a self-cleaning microfibre drum wipes the surface; Taypro states over 99 percent of dust is removed per pass. Edge and obstacle sensors keep it on the frame, and battery-aware routing makes sure it only starts runs it can finish before returning to lock in the dock, which is rated for 180 km/h gusts. The robot measures 750 by 4,800 mm, weighs 38 kg and cleans at 10 to 15 m per minute, covering up to 2.2 km of row, about 3,600 modules, per charge. It is rated IP65 and for up to 90 C. Operators schedule and monitor fleets in the NECTYR portal over LTE, Wi-Fi, RF mesh or LoRa. Taypro's GLYDE case studies include Hild Energy's 334 MW NTPC plant in Rajasthan and plants at Agar (272 robots), Banda (160), Yadgir (115), Soyegaon (90) and KMF Karnataka (85).
