DESCRIPTION

GESSbot Cobot is a Collaborative-Robot from W. Gessmann. It is built for Machine-Tending, Material-Handling, Pick-and-place.

The GESSbot Cobot is Gessmann's single-arm mobile manipulator: a collaborative robot arm on a GESSbot platform for transport and handling tasks at different machines and transfer stations. The cobot's built-in camera references each station, grippers handle the parts and the GESSbot's LiDAR scanners watch the surroundings, so it keeps working reliably as conditions change. An automatic tool-changing system swaps grippers between tasks, and a product basket can be added to carry parts with it. Gessmann pairs the GESSbot with Techman cobots, which have built-in cameras and image processing, for pick-and-place and machine tending across several machining centres.
