DESCRIPTION
Geniant Cranial is a Medical-Robots from Koh Young Technology. It is built for Medical-Assistance, Surgery, Stereotactic neurosurgery. Key figures: released 2025.
Geniant Cranial is Koh Young Technology's FDA-cleared navigated neurosurgical positioning robot for high-accuracy, high-precision stereotactic procedures - epilepsy surgery, deep-seated brain biopsy, deep brain stimulation for movement disorders and laser ablation. It is a 2-in-1 system: surgeons can use it for robot-assisted trajectory guidance or as a navigation-only platform. Its proprietary Geniant 3D Vision optical tracking provides real-time, repeatable trajectory alignment and positioning before and throughout the procedure. The compact robot fits under the operating table next to an ergonomic navigation console, and its robot motion around the patient's head is designed to keep a collision-free zone. An upgraded successor to KYMERO, it adds easier operation, more flexible patient positioning and greater accuracy; it received FDA clearance in January 2025 and won the Red Dot 'Best of the Best' 2025 award for medical devices.
