The Polaris FREEDOM Plus is a cordless robotic pool cleaner for in-ground pools. A long-lasting lithium-ion battery powers a full clean of floor, walls and waterline in 2.5 hours or less, and the robot recharges in under five hours when cradled in its outdoor charging caddy, which also carries it to and from the pool. Its handheld remote talks to the robot underwater using LiFi light-based communication, so owners can start and stop it, steer it, or call it to the waterline with the Easy Lift system; tapping it with a pool pole (Tap & Lift) brings it up too. Over Wi-Fi the iAquaLink app shows charge status, offers Waterline-only and SMART Cycle modes on top of the Floor and Floor/Wall/Waterline buttons, and sends an alert when the cycle is done.
