DESCRIPTION
DairyRobot R9600 is an Agricultural-Robots from GEA. It is built for Agriculture, Service, Automated group milking of medium to large dairy herds. Key figures: released 2025.
The GEA DairyRobot R9600 is a robotic batch-milking system: a row of GEA milking boxes in which the herd is milked automatically in groups at fixed times rather than whenever cows choose. Cows wait in the holding area and enter the boxes one by one, giving farms a fixed daily routine that one person can supervise. Launched as the new R9600 series in May 2025, it uses a semi-subway installation: a simplified pit about one metre deep, or an existing one, holds a centralised milk receiver serving up to 12 boxes, cutting construction work compared with the full-cellar R9650. GEA combines 6 to 24 boxes per system and says centralising the milking equipment lowers resource use, service parts and operating costs. Each box adapts to the cow via an adjustable feed trough and uses GEA's 3D-camera attachment, quarter-individual milking and In-Liner Everything process, with intermediate cleaning cycles during milking and DairyNet herd management.
