DESCRIPTION
BTL EXO is a Medical-Robots from BTL Industries. It is built for Medical-Assistance, Helping, Over-ground gait rehabilitation in clinics.
BTL EXO is a powered, free-walking medical exoskeleton that supports and enhances lower-limb motor function, helping patients with neurological or mobility impairments relearn proper gait patterns. Unlike treadmill-bound trainers it is meant for walking practice in conditions close to everyday life. A weight-shifting mechanism triggers each step, so walking feels smooth and intuitive, and a custom-fit trunk support stabilises the upper body. The exoskeleton engages the hip, knee, ankle and metatarsal joints to coordinate movement through the whole gait cycle. It can be used on flat surfaces, uneven terrain and inclines while maintaining control and limiting fall risk. A hip-release mechanism makes it easy to get in and out, and quick-release pins adjust the leg lengths in minutes. BTL positions it for stroke, spinal cord injury with partial motor function and multiple sclerosis.
