DESCRIPTION

BotEyes-Pad is a Mobile-Robots from BotEyes. It is built for Information, Helping, Telepresence. Key figures: 13 kg, 600 min runtime, price 119,000 RUB.

BotEyes-Pad is the wheeled floor model of NIL AP's BotEyes telepresence robots. Its slim steel mast, curved when seen from the side, rises from a rounded black base and carries any Android, iOS or Windows tablet from 8 to 12 inches as the robot's head, in portrait or landscape, so a remote user can drive through an office, factory or clinic from a phone, tablet or computer browser and talk face to face over WebRTC video, or use Skype, Zoom, WhatsApp and similar apps instead. The tablet tilts 160 degrees up and 180 degrees down to look at floor or ceiling, the user can switch between front and rear cameras, zoom digitally, take photos and video and share a desktop screen. Speed is smoothly adjustable from 0 to 2.5 km/h, two front infrared sensors prevent collisions, it climbs door sills up to 1.5 cm, and the heavy batteries in the base keep it from tipping. Two non-spillable 12 V, 7 Ah lead-acid batteries give about 10 hours of work, and it returns to its docking station automatically and charges the tablet too. A separate on-board computer drives the wheels over an independent channel, the video link is encrypted, and the robot stands 140 cm tall on a 29 x 39 cm base and weighs 13 kg.
