DESCRIPTION
Bimanual Humanoid Robot is a Humanoid from Svaya Robotics. It is built for Assembly, Material-Handling, Pick-and-place.
The Bimanual Humanoid Robot from Svaya Robotics is a two-armed, humanoid upper-body robot for dexterous manipulation in manufacturing. It has a human-like torso, a head carrying a stereo camera, and two arms with multi-fingered hands, and it is built on the actuators, controls and perception that Svaya developed for its collaborative robots. The robot uses 17 actuators, and each arm has seven degrees of freedom so it can reproduce natural human arm motion and work in constrained spaces. Full-body rotation through 360 degrees gives it access to the whole workspace around it. The wrist is modular, so end-effectors can be swapped to move between assembly, pick-and-place and handling tasks, and Svaya states sub-millimetre precision. Stereo vision in a pan-tilt head builds a 3D view of the workspace for object detection, grasp planning and in-process visual inspection. Svaya uses whole-body force control and vision to build reusable 'atomic' AI skills, with the aim of a general-purpose robot that works with and around people in less structured settings. Its renders show the robot on engine-assembly lines next to human workers.
