YMBot Type D

The YMBot Type D swaps legs for a tracked industrial chassis and gains a great deal of practicality by doing so. It folds from 1,650 mm down to 1,100 mm for transport and through low doorways, moves at about 1.5 m/s, and covers up to 100 km of movement on a 45 Ah pack — roughly eight hours of operation, with automatic docking for charging via reserved interfaces at the rear of the chassis. Above the chassis it is a proper humanoid: dual 7-degree-of-freedom arms with dual dexterous hands, 22 degrees of freedom excluding those hands, joints peaking above 220 N·m, and 5 kg per arm. What makes it interesting for data work is the teleoperation support — both VR teleoperation and inertial motion-capture teleoperation — which is how a fleet like this gets used to gather manipulation training data as well as to do the job. Yunmu lists industrial operations, data collection, security patrols and home services, and the machine carries a Gemini2L environmental perception sensor, a Gigabit Ethernet port for secondary development, and design touches like gradient-perforated heat vents and ear-mounted sound pickup.
