The TM5-700 is the most compact arm in Techman Robot's TM AI Cobot Series, a six-axis collaborative robot with a 746 mm reach and a 6 kg rated payload, weighing 22 kg. Techman positions it as the model that drops into an existing production line with the least disruption, aimed at small-parts assembly and at consumer-electronics and consumer-goods processes. What separates Techman's cobots from most of the field is that the camera is part of the robot. The TM5-700 has a built-in vision system, so it can locate parts, guide its own assembly steps and carry out inspection without a separate vision controller and the integration work that normally comes with one. It is built to work next to people rather than behind a fence: collision detection through inherent safety sensors, an emergency stop, and speed limits that can be configured for the particular collaborative workspace. Techman states compliance with ISO 10218-1:2011 and ISO/TS 15066:2016, the technical specification covering collaborative operation, and the arm is rated IP54. Programming is through TMflow, Techman's graphical environment. Techman lists material handling, assembly, inspection, machine tending, finishing and dispensing as its core applications, across automotive manufacturing, electronics and semiconductors, consumer goods and packaging, logistics and warehousing, food and beverage processing, metalworking and machining, and plastics and injection moulding.
