Sayabot is Asimov Robotics' humanoid service robot, which the company presents as India's first multi-purpose humanoid service robot. It has a human-like form, arms that make gestures and hand movements, a chest touchscreen and a wheeled base for flat floors, and can be customised for hospitality, security, retail, healthcare, education and banking. A built-in camera handles real-time face recognition, greeting known visitors and estimating age and gender, with optional facial-gesture recognition, fingerprint reader and thermal camera. Visitors can ask questions, which the robot matches against a stored database and answers by voice and on the screen. It moves between points in a venue, follows predefined routes, detects and avoids obstacles and moving people, can physically guide a guest to a destination, carry a tray of food or drinks, and be tele-operated with a live camera view and an emergency stop. Applications include front-office management, brand promotion, corporate training and round-the-clock patient monitoring and engagement; during COVID-19 Asimov offered it for visitor temperature screening, mask detection and hand-sanitiser dispensing. A uniformed version, KP-Bot, was built for the Kerala Police.
