The Lombrico XXS Ex-0 is a compact mini robot certified for ATEX and IECEx Zone 0 that enters 500 mm manholes, making it suited to pipelines and storage tanks. It vacuums solid and sludge sediments in tanks in refineries, terminals, food silos and biogas plants, using sensors, monitors and telemetry to keep people out of high-risk areas. With a 100 mm suction hose the robot is 1,100 mm long and 360 mm high and works from -20 to +60 C. It carries Zone 0 cameras and LED lights and directable high-pressure nozzles, and takes accessories such as combi tools, sludge suction tools, bronze augers and magnetic or rubber tracks, as part of a system with a Zone 1 control unit and a hydraulic power unit.
