HAPiiBOT is a compact autonomous floor-scrubbing robot co-developed by Amano and Preferred Robotics, which Amano describes as the only floor-washing robot developed and built in Japan. It went on sale on 1 October 2022 together with the AMANO Robot Cloud remote-management service. AI-based autonomous driving recognises people and objects: it pauses when someone steps out, steers around nets, mats, products or hand pallet trucks, and keeps its bearings in look-alike aisles by using shelving as landmarks. Routes are taught by driving them once (teaching mode) or by tracing only the outer boundary and letting the robot fill in the area (mapping mode), and a calendar function runs it unattended at night. The current model (EG-2RX-Li) scrubs a 508 mm path with a 780 mm squeegee and 33-litre clean and recovery tanks, cleans for about two hours without refilling water and runs up to about three hours per charge on a 25.6 V, 100 Ah lithium-ion battery. It reaches within 15 cm of walls and stops at drops thanks to step sensors, measures 550 x 1,200 x 940 mm and weighs 170 kg; AMANO Robot Cloud allows multi-robot monitoring, remote route edits and remote driving if it stops.
