Zippy is Zippedi's autonomous store-scanning robot: a slim camera tower on a compact wheeled base that navigates complex store layouts without human intervention, avoiding staff and shoppers while it photographs every aisle. High-resolution cameras read shelf price tags, built-in lighting gives consistent images regardless of ambient light (it can even scan with the store lights off), depth sensors map the 3D environment for navigation, positioning and shelf-out detection, and an overhead camera captures top stock up to 7 m high. Optional RFID antenna arrays locate hidden items and validate stock counts, which Zippedi says gives 99%+ inventory accuracy, and one charge covers a full shift of 8+ hours of scanning. Images are uploaded to Zippedi's cloud, where proprietary deep-learning models identify thousands of SKUs, price errors and missing products with over 99% accuracy and build a daily-updated digital twin of the store. Results reach store associates as prioritised tasks in the Bruno app and managers through a client portal, a 360-degree virtual store walk and an API, for services such as shelf-out and low-stock detection, price and label mismatch, planogram, assortment and promotion compliance, overhead stock, product location and RFID cycle counts.
