Xynova Flex 2 is a tendon-driven bionic dexterous hand from Xynova with a 23-DoF configuration that matches the human hand in size, joints and kinematics. The palm weighs only 400 g yet can make two fist-and-open cycles a second, and the thumb scores full marks on the Kapandji opposition test. It repeats positions to within 0.1 mm and is back-drivable under load for hybrid force-position control down to 0.05 N, while multimodal perception and a 'cerebellum' controller provide adaptive grasping, slip detection and compliant reflexes. A single hand grasps 12 kg and works continuously at 4 kg, with a wear- and puncture-resistant palm, replaceable soft skin and anti-pinch seams. Xynova rates it for millions of open/close cycles, with dust-, drop- and impact-resistance, anti-creep tendon ropes and full-range temperature control, and offers an open development ecosystem for customisation and integration.
