説明

Vega is Dexmate's general-purpose mobile robot, and its defining trick is that it folds. Extended, it works from the floor to 2.2 m, high enough for a top shelf; folded, it packs down to roughly 0.58 by 0.66 m so it can be wheeled through a door or shipped without a crate. That combination of reach and portability is unusual — most robots buy one at the cost of the other. It is built for two-handed work: 13 degrees of freedom in each arm, three at the torso, three in the head, and an omni-directional base, for more than 36 in total. Each arm carries over 10 lb (about 4.5 kg) in any pose, which matters more than a headline peak figure because it holds when the arm is extended. Endurance is the other unusual number: over 10 hours of operation, and Dexmate says more than 30 hours per charge if both arms move without a payload. For developers the platform is deliberately unfussy. An Nvidia AGX Thor handles onboard compute; the Python API installs with pip; URDF and USD files ship for simulators; VR and exoskeleton teleoperation are supported; force-torque sensing gives compliance control; and self-collision avoidance runs on board. Sensing covers lidar, a head camera, RGB and RGBD cameras, IMUs and ultrasonics, with four USB 3.2 ports, Ethernet, DisplayPort and 5 V and 12 V supplies for whatever else you bolt on. Vega is in production with a stated three-week lead time.
