Medius is Addverb Technologies' multi-level shuttle, a dynamic system for automated storage and retrieval of cartons and totes across different levels. A single shuttle reaches seven storage levels within one aisle rather than being fixed to a level, which is what lets the system be built with fewer vehicles than a one-shuttle-per-level design. It carries up to 30 kg at speeds to 3.1 m/s and delivers 103 totes an hour on a 30-metre track. Addverb rates space utilisation at 36 totes per square metre, supports double-deep storage and builds to 20 metres high. The vehicle measures 1,568 x 934 x 3,800 mm and weighs 470 kg. Power is 220 V single-phase AC and the operating range is +5 to +40 C, which places it in ambient rather than cold storage. It suits high-throughput tote handling - e-commerce and parts distribution, where the unit moved is a tote rather than a pallet.
