Poseidon is Slamtec's answer to a specific complaint from humanoid and embodied-AI developers: the legs are the hard part, and building a mobile base from scratch burns months before any of the interesting work starts. It is a FOUR-WHEEL INDEPENDENT STEERING chassis, which is what separates it from the differential-drive platforms in the rest of the range - it can drive forward and backward, rotate on the spot with zero turning radius, crab sideways and move diagonally, so it manoeuvres in corridors that would defeat a two-wheel base. The load case is the other half of the pitch. The chassis weighs 80 kg and carries a rated 150 kg, up to 200 kg maximum, and it is deliberately shaped around a very low centre of gravity so it stays stable under a tall, top-heavy load - which is exactly what a humanoid torso or a lifting column is. It runs on a 48 V lithium iron phosphate pack giving about six hours, supplies 48 V/30 A to whatever is bolted on top, and ships in two configurations: the M8s, with a 236 mm mounting deck and conventional charging, and the M8d, lower at 65 mm and designed for battery swapping from a charging cabinet for round-the-clock running. Perception is dual front and rear 2D LiDAR as standard with optional 3D, front and rear depth cameras, and eight ultrasonic sensors.
