BESCHREIBUNG
B10 is Shihe's closing-seam shot-blasting robot, built for one job in shipbuilding: treating the steel either side of the weld after large hull sections are joined. That seam is the last surface to be prepared and the hardest to reach, high on a hull with no scaffold. The robot is a magnetic chassis carrying a shot-blasting head, a remote, a vacuum cleaner and recovery hosing. Abrasive is thrown at the plate to strip paint and rust, then circulated back inside the head for reuse, while the vacuum recovers dust into a waste bin - the point being both cost and the operator's lungs. It reaches Sa2.5 surface quality and up to Sa3, with a 50-90 micron roughness profile for paint adhesion, and Shihe puts it at more than five times the throughput of manual grinding. The machine is 905 x 500 x 500 mm and 72 kg, works a 180 mm width at 10 m/min, uses 1.0 mm steel grit, and is rated IP65. The operator stands on the ground with a remote, which removes the fall risk entirely.
